Consultation on Gender and Tourism

The one-day consultation, in partnership with Indian Association for Women's Studies (IAWS), will deliberate on gender concerns in tourism. It aims to generate consensus and commitment to create strategies and activities within the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals framework (SDG-5: Gender equality and women's empowerment; SDG-8: Decent work and economic growth).

We collaborate closely with organisations and peoples movements, to influence people-centered forms of tourism & policies that ensure significant local benefits and take into account the negative impacts of an unbridled growth of tourism.
