Sponsored by EQUATIONS, this study analyses the implications of the draft Karnataka Tourism Policy from multiple perspectives. It looks at features of the policy such as increased emphasis on privatisation, incentives and subsidies to high end of he industry , the notion of special Tourism areas, the unregulated push for more tourism, the shrinking space for democratic decision making and cautions on the implications of such policy making.
