Staff Reporter ,Thrissur:

Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac said the Centre had sanctioned Rs.50 crore for the Muziris heritage project. The project envisages renovation of archaeological monuments, modernisation of Kottappuram-Paravur markets at a cost of Rs.20 crore, setting up of 20 museums and development of road network.

A workshop will be held on April 6 to finalise various aspects of setting up the museums.
