Agencies, Chicago:

Hyatt Hotels said it will partner with Indian real estate developer DB Hospitality to operate five new hotel properties in India as the global hospitality company seeks to expand its footprint in the "world's most vibrant emerging market".

Under the management pacts between city- headquartered Hyatt and Mumbai-based DB Hospitality, part of DB Group, the five properties are slated to open between mid-2010 and early 2014.

The properties are Park Hyatt Mumbai, Grand Hyatt Goa, Grand Hyatt Pune, Hyatt Place Pune and Hyatt Place Mundra.

DB Hospitality would develop and own the properties, which would include luxury and upscale guest accommodations, serviced apartments, authentic dining options and banquet/ meeting facilities.
